DUPONT CROP PROTECTION RENEWS COMMITMENT TO CHEMNAVIGATOR AS CHEMISTRY AND CHEMINFORMATICS SERVICES PROVIDER
iResearch System and Services will continue to play key role in chemistry procurement programs. ChemNavigator today announced that DuPont Crop Protection has signed a new two-year agreement providing continued access to ChemNavigator's iResearch System and iResearch Library database of over 15 million chemical samples that DuPont Crop Protection will use for agricultural research. Under the terms of the new agreement, DuPont scientists will use the on-line iResearch System application and the iResearch Library database to identify external chemistry samples to be used for early discovery research. ChemNavigator's chemistry procurement service will provide up-to-date information on compound availability, price and delivery times. The service will also be used to place and track orders on behalf of DuPont. "Over the past two years we have employed ChemNavigator's iResearch Library and procurement services as an extension of our own internal chemical library procurement programs," said Robert Ackerson, Ph.D., director of discovery research at DuPont Crop Protection. "This allows us to maintain our own unique supplier relationships while extending our procurement programs to hundreds of additional suppliers around the world." "Our relationship with DuPont Crop Protection has played an important role in helping to shape our ChemMatrix products and services," said Scott Hutton, president and chief executive officer of ChemNavigator. "We would like to thank DuPont for allowing us to support their research programs. We look forward to helping DuPont save time and money in chemical procurement over the next two years." As part of ChemNavigator's growing suite of ChemMatrix Products & Services, the iResearch Library is the world's up-to-date compilation of commercially accessible screening compounds from international chemistry suppliers. The database currently tracks over 15 million chemical samples. Database licenses include access to regular updates, sourcing information, and ChemNavigator's optional Chemistry Procurement Service. The database may be licensed on CD/DVD ROM or accessed through an on-line iResearch System subscription. About ChemNavigator ChemNavigator is a privately held pharmaceutical research company focused on drug discovery using our proprietary proteomics and cheminformatics technologies, called 3-DPL Map and ChemMatrix. Our competitive advantage is our unique ability to identify and analyze, with unmatched speed, the biochemical relationships that exist between a potential drug compound and its entire drug target molecule. Our 3-DPL Map technology is designed to allow more efficient and cost effective drug discovery by providing the ability to screen tens of millions of potential drugs in silico in order to rapidly identify compounds with a high likelihood of showing favorable activity. Our ChemMatrix technology is employed within products and services used by over 40 pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. ©1999-2010 ChemNavigator.com, Inc. All rights reserved. |
