ChemNavigator Newsletter - December 2005

Holiday Greetings From ChemNavigator!
All of us at ChemNavigator would like to thank our clients and supplier partners from around the world for the opportunity to work with you in 2005. Through our work with you, ChemNavigator has become a leading source of data, cheminformatics technology, and chemistry for drug discovery. We look forward to continuing our work with you in 2006!

iResearch Library Nears 24 Million Products!
The iResearch Library is ChemNavigator's up-to-date compilation of commercially accessible screening compounds from international chemistry suppliers. Using the iResearch Library data, our customers identify external chemistry for use in internal research programs and for library expansion and enhancement. Database licenses include access to regular updates, sourcing information, and ChemNavigator's optional Chemistry Procurement Service. The database may be licensed on DVD ROM or accessed through an on-line iResearch System subscription.

Sample Growth and Turnover
Over the past 3 years the number of chemical samples registered into the iResearch Library has grown to over 23.5 Million chemical samples. The database provides the most comprehensive view of external chemistry available to support your research programs. Each quarter we process over 5 million sample records to add, remove and reconfirm chemistry offerings.

Up to Date Information
High quality, current data is critical to successful compound selection and acquisition. ChemNavigator carefully curates the iResearch Library data and processes supplier updates as soon as they are available. DVD ROM releases occur each quarter so that you have the highest rate of success acquiring the samples you select.

On-line iResearch System 3.6.1 Release
New feature for highlighting substurctures
Based upon customer input, highlighting of substructure matches has been added to the iResearch System. For substructure searches, bonds that matched the substructure query are now highlighted in the search results, and the molecules are aligned by substructure where possible. You now have a quick way to see how each structure in your results matched your substructure query.

Supplier Highlights
We would like to thank our supplier partners that contributed data to the iResearch Library in 2005. We wish you continued business success in 2006!

This month's highlighted Supplier Partner

N 2 Laboratory of N.D. Zelinsky IOCh
The N 2 Laboratory offers hand-made high quality Organic Compounds for High Throughput Screening and other programs at pharmaceutical, agricultural and biotechnology researches. At the present time, the library contains ca. 18500 compounds in amounts from 100mg to 1g (in-house stock) and ca.135000 compounds that can be prepared within a short period. These compounds are synthesized in our laboratory. This supplier has been in operation for 10 years. The N 2 Laboratory can synthesize nearly 400 new compounds a month. Purity of samples is at least 90-95%. Quality of compounds are followed by NMR and if required by mass-spectrometry methods.
